Maybank Tower, Financial skyscraper in Raffles Place, Singapore
Maybank Tower is a 32-story office building at 2 Battery Road with a height of 175 meters. Its design combines a granite-clad base with blue reflective glass and aluminum framing on the upper floors.
The tower was completed in 2002 and replaced the former Malayan Bank Chambers structure. This new development marked a modern shift in the financial district's banking sector.
The building integrates into Singapore's banking sector, with its illuminated logo and light stripes becoming part of the nighttime financial district landscape.
The tower is located at the edge of the financial center and is accessible by public transport and walking from Marina Bay. External views offer good photo opportunities, especially during daylight and evening hours.
The building stands behind the famous Merlion statue and frequently appears in the background of tourist photographs. This accidental positioning has made it an unavoidable element of Marina Bay's photo backdrop.
