Woodlands Regional Library

The Woodlands Regional Library is a modern information hub spread across four floors and a basement with approximately half a million items available to the public. The building provides different spaces for various readers, from children to adults, with areas for learning and exploration.

The building opened in 2001 and represented a major milestone in the region's public services infrastructure. The inauguration by senior city officials emphasized the importance placed on providing public access to information.

The children's section draws inspiration from the nearby nature reserves and creates a connection to local greenery. This space encourages young readers to explore their surroundings while discovering books as places of adventure.

The building is located near an MRT station and is easily accessible from most parts of the city. Visitors should expect extended operating hours that allow time to explore the different sections without rushing.

Inside the building is MakeIT, a public makerspace designed for creative experiments and hands-on activities. Here visitors without prior technical training can experiment with modern tools and try new things.
