Puh Bridge, Road bridge in Ptuj, Slovenia
Puh Bridge is a concrete structure spanning the Drava River for about 430 meters. It carries two vehicle lanes along with separate paths dedicated to cyclists and pedestrians.
Construction of the structure began in October 2005 and reached completion with its official opening in May 2007. The project emerged as part of broader infrastructure development in the city during that period.
The bridge takes its name from inventor Johann Puch, honoring the industrial heritage that shaped this region. This naming reflects how local innovation remains part of the city's identity.
The structure forms part of Ptuj's southern bypass route and links different districts of the city. It is designed to handle substantial vehicle traffic flowing through the area.
The bridge features an extradosed design with four harps tensioned through lower pylons. This engineering approach was necessary to limit the height to about 10 meters while meeting environmental requirements.
