Phimai, Administrative district in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand
Phimai District spans across 896 square kilometers of lowland terrain, intersected by the Chakkarat, Khem, and Mun rivers in northeastern Thailand.
The district originated from an ancient Khmer city called Vimayapura, which gained importance under King Suryavarman I and the Mahidharapura dynasty around 1000 CE.
