Rocket Festival Site

The site features designated areas for launching traditional homemade rockets, surrounded by open fields and preparation zones for rocket assembly and testing.

The location has served as a gathering point for the Boon Bang Fai rocket festival since ancient times, when communities began launching rockets to request rain.

During the May festival, local teams construct and decorate large bamboo rockets, measuring up to several meters in length, to compete for height and distance.

Visitors can reach the festival grounds by taking a local bus from Buriram city center to Ban Nong Bua Lee village, with the journey lasting approximately 45 minutes.

The launch site includes specialized wooden towers reaching 20 meters high, from which participants release their handcrafted rockets into the sky.
