Phu Wua Wildlife Sanctuary

Phu Wua Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife refuge in Bueng Kan Province spanning forested hills along the Mekong River. The landscape features varied elevations and dense vegetation that provide habitat for numerous animal species.

The sanctuary was officially established through royal decree after a forestry department survey determined its conservation value. This formal protection followed a period of regional disruption that had prevented earlier assessment.
