Pingzhen District

Pingzhen District covers 47.75 square kilometers of hilly plateau terrain in central Taoyuan City, accommodating over 227,000 residents across 45 distinct villages.

The district evolved from Changluliao during the Qing Dynasty to Pingzhen City in 1992, and finally became Pingzhen District when Taoyuan County gained municipality status in 2014.

The district maintains strong Hakka cultural traditions through its local markets, temples, and community gatherings that connect residents throughout the 45 villages.

Transportation networks include National Highway 1, Provincial Highways 1 and 66, plus regular bus services connecting to major urban centers in Taoyuan City.

The district features Xinshi Park and Bazizhen Riverside Park, where residents participate in agricultural workshops that preserve connections to the region's farming heritage.
