Novi Biliari, Rural settlement in Yuzhne municipality, Ukraine
Novi Biliari is a rural settlement in Yuzhne municipality located on the right bank of the Small Adzhalyk Estuary. The community connects to surrounding areas through road networks that link it to the Black Sea region and nearby towns.
The settlement was founded in 1914 on the grounds of the former German colony Anental and later received urban-type settlement status. This development shaped the area's history and regional character.
The settlement preserves Ukrainian traditions alongside traces of its German colonial past, which shape the local character. Visitors can see this cultural blend reflected in the buildings and daily life of the residents.
The settlement is connected by the M28 highway to Odesa and Pivdenne, with access to the M14 route toward Mykolaiv for regional travel. Visitors should be prepared for limited services and plan accordingly for rural conditions.
In January 2024, the community reverted from urban-type settlement status back to rural classification, a rare administrative shift for the region. This unusual change reflects the country's ongoing administrative restructuring.
