Kabaka's Lake, Artificial lake and heritage site in Ndeeba, Uganda.

The lake covers 2 square kilometers with an average depth of 200 feet, featuring natural springs and an island in the Kampala district.

King Mwanga II ordered the construction of this lake between 1884 and 1888, involving workers from 52 clans of the Buganda kingdom.

The central island, Nambi Natutululu, remains reserved for the king during traditional ceremonies and observations of water activities.

The water source serves the local population for irrigation needs and stands between Ring Road and Nabunya Road, 5 kilometers from central Kampala.

The construction aimed to create a water channel to Lake Victoria but stopped in 1888 due to religious conflicts in the region.
