National Botanical Gardens, Botanical garden near Lake Victoria in Entebbe, Uganda.
The National Botanical Gardens span two kilometers along Lake Victoria's shores, containing over 300 species of indigenous and exotic trees.
The gardens were established in 1898 by curator A Whyte, becoming one of the first scientific plant cultivation centers in East Africa.
The gardens host the Milege World Music Festival each November, bringing together musicians, performers, and visitors for outdoor celebrations.
Guided tours cost 10,000 Ugandan shillings and provide information about the 115 bird species and numerous monkey populations within the gardens.
The gardens' rainforest section served as a filming location for Tarzan movies featuring Johnny Weissmuller during the 1940s.
