Aonach Meadhoin, Mountain summit in Highland, Scotland

Aonach Meadhoin reaches 1001 meters in elevation and presents steep faces dropping to the corries of Coire nan Eun and Coire na Cadha.

The mountain forms part of the Brothers of Kintail group, which stands in contrast to the neighboring Five Sisters of Kintail mountains.

The name Aonach Meadhoin originates from Gaelic language, translating to Middle Ridge, reflecting the traditional Scottish Highland naming conventions.

Hikers can access the summit through multiple routes starting from Cluanie Inn on the A87 road, with the southeast ridge offering direct passage.

Despite being only 15 kilometers from the west coast at Loch Duich, all water from the mountain flows toward the east coast of Scotland.
