St Leonards, Coastal town in East Sussex, England

The seaside town stretches along a three-mile seafront with a pebble beach and Victorian architecture facing the English Channel.

James Burton purchased land from the Eversfield estate in 1826 to develop the area into a planned seaside resort with elegant houses.

Marine Court, constructed in 1937, stands as a prominent Art Deco building that was once the tallest residential structure in the United Kingdom.

The town connects to London and other major cities through regular rail services from St Leonards Warrior Square station.

Queen Adelaide, Princess Sophia of Gloucester, and Princess Victoria visited the town during the 1830s, establishing its status as a royal destination.
