The complex spreads across a large site with roughly a dozen buildings and is surrounded by an artificial lake. The facility focuses on defence procurement and coordinates processes across all British armed forces.

The curved building shapes were deliberately chosen to blend into the surroundings rather than appear as a typical military complex. This reflects an approach of engaging openly with the local community.

The site is primarily a workplace and not accessible to visitors, as it is a secured military facility. Those interested can explore the surroundings or view the lake from outside the grounds.

A preserved farmhouse from the 1800s still stands on the grounds and retained its protected status. The building is a rare remnant of rural history amid modern office activity.
