Moel Siabod, Mountain summit in Conwy County Borough, Wales
The 872-meter peak of Moel Siabod features steep cliffs on its eastern side and a gentler slope towards the western section of the mountain.
The Welsh name of the mountain stems from ancient terminology, suggesting a connection to the geographical characteristics of bare hills in the region.
The mountain holds importance for Welsh mountaineering traditions, with the Plas-y-Brenin National Mountaineering Centre situated at its base for training purposes.
Multiple hiking routes lead to the summit from Capel Curig and Pont Cyfyng in the north or Dolwyddelan in the south, with parking available near trail starts.
From the mountain summit, visitors can observe thirteen of the fourteen peaks in Wales that exceed 3,000 feet in elevation.
