Terpersie Castle, Tower house in Tullynessle, Scotland.

The stone castle features a rectangular main block measuring 28 feet by 18 feet with two round towers at opposite corners forming a Z-plan layout.

William Gordon constructed the castle in 1561, and Charles Gordon, an officer in Gordon of Glenbuchat's Regiment, was captured here during the 1745 Rising.

The castle represents early Scottish defensive architecture with its Z-plan design, incorporating military features such as gun loops and strategic corner towers.

The castle underwent complete restoration between 1983 and 1989 by the William Cowie Partnership and now functions as a private residence.

Each floor of the main building contains only one room, while the adjacent round towers house larger service areas and additional chambers.
