Rusko Castle, Medieval castle in Anwoth, Scotland.

The rectangular tower of Rusko Castle stands three stories high with walls reaching between 6 to 8 feet in thickness.

Built around 1500 for Mariota Carson and Robert Gordon, the castle later witnessed family conflicts when James Gordon imprisoned his mother over ownership concerns.

The structure represents traditional Scottish tower house architecture with features including stone water spouts, gun loops, and small chamfered windows.

Located 5 kilometers north of Gatehouse of Fleet, the castle contains multiple storage rooms and living quarters within its thick stone walls.

Archaeological investigations in 1973 revealed four garderobe chutes containing 19th-century domestic items, indicating regular site maintenance throughout its history.
