Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure, Steel roller coaster at CBeebies Land, Alton Towers Resort, England
The Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure is a steel roller coaster at CBeebies Land within Alton Towers Resort decorated with marine themes throughout. The blue track winds through an ocean-themed environment where riders experience several turns and drops along the course.
This family attraction opened in March 2015, replacing a previous roller coaster that had closed several years earlier. The site's redesign brought a family-friendly experience to an established location within the park.
The ride draws from the CBeebies television series and features Captain Barnacles and his crew throughout an ocean adventure. Visitors recognize the beloved characters from the show as they travel through the themed attraction.
A minimum height of about 0.9 meters is required to ride, and smaller passengers must be accompanied by a supervising adult. The complete journey takes about two and a half minutes and provides an easy entry point for young riders.
The track system takes riders through the same course twice in succession, giving a longer experience than typical compact family coasters. A large whale that sprays water appears at one spot to surprise passing riders.
