Little Loomhouse, Historic weaving center in Kenwood Hill, Louisville, United States
The Little Loomhouse consists of three wooden cabins built between 1870 and 1896: Esta Cabin, Wisteria Cabin, and Top House Weaving Studio.
Lou Tate established her weaving business at Esta Cabin in 1939 and maintained operations there until her death in 1979, preserving textile traditions.
The center maintains the largest collection of original textile patterns in the United States, documenting regional weaving techniques and designs.
Visitors can participate in guided tours from Tuesday to Friday between 10 AM and 3 PM, with Saturday hours extending from 11 AM to 4 PM.
Eleanor Roosevelt visited the Little Loomhouse in the 1940s, leaving an unintentional mark when she accidentally damaged a floorboard during her tour.
