Bartholomew's Cobble, Nature reserve and National Natural Landmark in Berkshire County, US.
The 329-acre reserve features two rocky knolls alongside the Konkapot and Housatonic Rivers, with floodplain areas, hayfields, pastures, and meadows.
George Bartholomew cultivated this land in the early 1800s, after it belonged to Colonel John Ashley's 3,000-acre property from the eighteenth century.
The Natural History Museum and Visitor Center provide educational displays about local flora, fauna, and the geological formations of the area.
Five miles of moderate hiking trails guide visitors through different habitats, leading to Hurlburt's Hill at 1,000 feet elevation.
The reserve contains over 800 plant species and houses the largest diversity of fern species in North America, with Massachusetts' highest population of bobolinks.
