Bear Mountain

Bear Mountain is a summit in Salisbury and the highest peak located entirely within Connecticut's boundaries. The terrain features rocky outcrops, dense forest, and multiple marked trails leading to the top.

A stone tower was built on the summit in 1885 and served as a distinctive landmark for the surrounding region. The structure no longer stands, but its history remains connected to the mountain's past.
