Established in 1949, the stadium became the first sporting facility in Puerto Rico to incorporate an artificial playing surface for athletic events.
The stadium bears the name of Francisco 'Paquito' Montaner, one of Puerto Rico's most accomplished baseball pitchers who left an enduring mark on the sport.
Located on Carr Los Pampanos PR-2, the stadium offers event spaces and meeting rooms that accommodate various configurations for both sports and non-sports activities.
The New York Yankees selected this stadium for their spring training sessions, marking its status in professional baseball development.
