Front Room Gallery, Contemporary art gallery in Hudson, United States
Front Room Gallery is a contemporary art space in Hudson presenting photography exhibitions, paintings, and installations. The venue displays works ranging from photographic projects to large-scale installations across its exhibition areas.
The project began in 1999 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, as an artist-run space. After relocating to Manhattan's Lower East Side in 2017, it later moved to its current location in Hudson.
The gallery showcases works by artists exploring environmental and social issues through their practice. Visitors see how contemporary creators address pressing concerns using diverse materials and media.
The space is open Friday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM, with additional times available by appointment. Visitors should check ahead since exhibition schedules and opening times may vary seasonally.
During its Brooklyn years, the space hosted an experimental music series called Sonic Front and produced artist multiples. These programs reflected an approach that extended beyond typical gallery exhibitions.
