Glen Falls features a 30-foot vertical cascade along Ellicott Creek, forming part of the Onondaga Escarpment that runs through the village of Williamsville.
The water power from Glen Falls supported early industrial development in Williamsville, with Jonas Williams establishing two mills on opposite sides of Ellicott Creek.
The falls and surrounding Glen Park have evolved from an industrial center to a natural recreational space where residents gather for outdoor activities and photography.
Two parking lots near Glen Avenue provide space for 26 vehicles, with additional parking available off East Spring Street near the Red Mill.
The Williamsville Water Mill, established in 1811 near Glen Falls, continues to operate and produces fresh-pressed cider for visitors.
