Glen Falls

Glen Falls is a waterfall located along Ellicott Creek in Williamsville that drops approximately 30 feet over a rocky ledge. The surrounding park features walking paths, benches, and views of the creek and surrounding vegetation.

In the early 1800s, mill operators harnessed the waterfall's energy to power two mills situated on opposite sides of Ellicott Creek. This water-driven industry helped Williamsville grow and become an important local economic center.

The falls and surrounding park serve as a gathering place where locals enjoy walking, sitting on benches, and taking photographs throughout the seasons. This spot reflects how the community has transformed an industrial past into a space for outdoor recreation and connection with nature.

The site is accessible from parking areas near Glen Avenue and along East Spring Street, with flat walking paths throughout the park. Benches are placed along the routes, making it suitable for visitors of different mobility levels.

A historic mill near the waterfall has been producing fresh-pressed cider since the early 1800s and still operates today. Visitors can watch the traditional pressing process and purchase cider made using methods passed down through generations.
