Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve, Protected forest area in Depew, New York, US.
The 292-acre preserve contains forests, ponds, and wetlands with trails connecting various ecosystems where white-tailed deer, beavers, and waterfowl reside.
Dr. Victor Reinstein purchased the land in 1932, establishing a private sanctuary where he planted 30,000 trees and constructed 19 water features.
The Environmental Education Center offers guided lessons, seasonal walks, and educational programs about local wildlife and natural resources throughout the year.
The preserve trails remain open daily from sunrise to sunset, while the education center operates Monday through Friday 9:00-4:30 and Saturday 1:00-4:30.
The facility earned Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification through its natural lighting systems, water conservation methods, and recycled building materials.
