John Messer Barn, Historic barn in Sevier County, Tennessee, United States.

The John Messer Barn measures 25 feet by 45 feet, featuring a single story with a hayloft and gabled roof extending over the sides for weather protection.

Built in 1875 by Pinkney Whaley, the barn was later sold to John H. Messer and received National Register of Historic Places designation in 1976.

The structure represents traditional farming methods of East Tennessee, with its design reflecting the agricultural needs and construction techniques of the 19th century.

Located along the Porters Creek Trail in the Greenbrier valley, the barn contains two pens divided into stalls with a central passage for vehicle access.

This double-cantilever barn stands as the final remaining structure from the pre-park Greenbrier Cove community within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
