Lake Kittamaqundi is a reservoir in Howard County, Maryland. It was created by damming a stream and now serves as a recreation area with walking paths, grassy areas, and overlook points along its banks.
The reservoir was created in the 1970s as part of Columbia's development plan. The dam was built to provide water supply for the expanding community.
The shoreline is easy to access with parking available nearby. You can explore the paths on foot or by bike, especially during warmer months.
