Magic Forest, amusement park in Lake George, New York, United States
Magic Forest is a family amusement park in Lake George, New York, aimed mainly at toddlers and young children. Set inside a wooded area, it offers around 25 gentle rides, a small petting zoo, a park train, and a picnic area.
Magic Forest opened in 1963 and is one of the oldest amusement parks in the Lake George area. Over the decades, new rides and shows have been added regularly, keeping the park current for new generations of visitors.
The Fairy Tale Trail is a walking path inside the park where kids discover scenes like Santa's house and Cinderella's castle set among the trees. The colorful decorations and storybook settings make it feel like stepping into a picture book.
The park sits on U.S. Route 9 in Lake George and is easy to reach by car, right next to Dino Roar Valley, which can be visited with a combined ticket. Arriving early in the day is a good idea, especially during hot summer weather when the tree cover makes a real difference.
Visitors who arrive after 3 pm receive a ticket that also covers the following day, allowing families to split their visit across two days. On top of that, guests can leave and re-enter the park as many times as they want throughout the day.
