Nebraska Field was a football stadium in Lincoln that served as home to the Nebraska Cornhuskers from 1909 to 1922. The facility featured wooden grandstands and bleachers on both sides with a seating capacity of 16,000.
The stadium opened on October 23, 1909, with Nebraska playing Iowa in an inaugural match that ended 6-6. It replaced the former Antelope Field after significant preparation work led by athletics manager Earl Eager.
The field became a gathering place where Nebraska Cornhuskers fans witnessed early college football competition. The wooden structures on either side created an open-air arena where spectators could follow the game closely.
