The Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad 710 features a 4-6-0 wheel configuration and two cylinders, making it a standard Ten Wheeler locomotive.

Built in June 1901 for the Burlington and Missouri River Railroad as Number 31, this engine operated until 1954 and received number 710 in 1904.

The locomotive represents early American railroad engineering, demonstrating the technological advances that connected communities across the Midwest through rail transportation.

Visitors can observe this preserved locomotive at the former Lincoln Station, where it stands as a permanent exhibition piece at coordinates 40.815833, -96.711667.

This engine became the first locomotive donated by Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad to any city in Nebraska, arriving in Lincoln during February 1955.
