The parish was established in 1903 when about 50 families separated from St. Sebastian Church to form their own congregation in Chickasaw. The structures were built by the DeCurtins brothers in the following decades and gained National Register recognition in 1979.
The DeCurtins brothers constructed both the school and rectory buildings, which received National Register of Historic Places recognition in 1979.
