St. Sebastian's Catholic Church

St. Sebastian's Church stands alone in the countryside at the intersection of Sebastian Road and County Road 716-A, featuring pressed brick walls and a prominent spire.

The current church building, completed in 1904, replaced an earlier brick structure that burned down in 1903 during parish conflicts with neighboring Chickasaw.

The church represents one of the thirty properties connected to the Society of the Precious Blood in Ohio, forming part of the Marion Catholic Community cluster.

The parish complex includes a two-story brick rectory built in 1905, which maintains its original architectural characteristics and remains in excellent condition.

The church interior displays High Gothic Revival reredos beneath vaulted ceilings, with construction materials including stone foundations and slate roofing.
