Shrine of St. Anthony

The Shrine of St. Anthony spans 20,194 square feet across 320 acres of hills and woodland, featuring multiple chapels and outdoor devotion areas.

The property originated from a 10,000-acre land grant to Charles Carroll of Annapolis in 1700, with the current shrine building completed in 1931.

The shrine maintains a daily noon mass schedule and houses a first-class relic of St. Anthony, drawing visitors for spiritual contemplation and religious services.

Visitors can access seven walking trails, a chapel, restrooms, and parking facilities while exploring the grounds of this National Register of Historic Places site.

The shrine includes a statue of St. Maximilian Kolbe in its garden, which received a blessing from Pope John Paul II during the saint's canonization ceremony.
