Warren Towers, Student residence complex at Boston University, United States
Warren Towers is a residence complex made up of three connected buildings that rise 18 stories above Commonwealth Avenue, forming a central hub of the Boston University campus. The buildings contain numerous living units, shared study spaces, dining facilities, and support services that serve the student community.
The residence halls were completed in 1967 and named in 1976 to honor three generations of the Warren family who had served Boston University. The naming recognized their long association with the institution.
The residence brings together students from different fields of study, particularly from communication and engineering programs, who meet in shared spaces throughout the buildings. This proximity shapes daily campus life and creates natural opportunities for students across disciplines to connect.
The buildings include dining facilities, laundry rooms, mail services, study lounges, and 24-hour security at the entrance for resident safety. All essential amenities and services are integrated into the complex for daily student needs.
The complex is one of the largest civilian student dormitories in the United States, housing approximately 1800 students in its interconnected towers. This scale demonstrates how much student housing can be concentrated in a single architectural project.
