Shelton Hall, Historic university dormitory in Boston, Massachusetts, US
The nine-story brick building at 91 Bay State Road features large windows, ornate limestone trim, and a prominent entrance with classical architectural details.
Built in 1923 as the Sheraton Hotel, this structure influenced the naming of the entire Sheraton hotel chain when Ernest Henderson purchased it in 1939.
The fourth floor houses the Writer's Corridor, marking the location where Nobel Prize-winning playwright Eugene O'Neill spent his final days in 1953.
The building contains student residences, study spaces, administrative offices, and specialized facilities for members of the Kilachand Honors College at Boston University.
The dormitory maintains its original 1920s hotel elevator system, including mechanical indicators and brass-trimmed entrance doors on each floor.
