St. Anne Church

The red brick church features twin towers with round-arch windows, where the left tower contains a square belfry and the right displays a statue of Saint Anne.

Constructed in 1900 by architect Archibald I. Lawrence, the church replaced an 1882 wooden structure that later became a parish school.

The church stands as the first Roman Catholic congregation in Berlin, established in 1867 to serve the growing French Canadian community.

Located at 58 Church Street, the building operates under Good Shepherd Parish within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Manchester.

The interior preserves carved wood and plaster decorations that demonstrate the combination of Romanesque Revival and Victorian architectural elements.
