Ashlar Hall, Victorian mansion in Memphis, United States
The three-story Ashlar Hall features stone masonry construction with eight bedrooms, six bars, five bathrooms, and spans 11,000 square feet of interior space.
Robert Brinkley Snowden, owner of Memphis Peabody Hotel, constructed this Norman and Gothic-influenced residence in 1896 as his personal dwelling.
The property transformed from a family residence to a restaurant in the 1950s, then became a nightclub named The Castle in the 1990s.
The mansion underwent a $400,000 renovation project in 2016 after Juan Montoya acquired the property through a tax sale for $59,000.
The structure incorporates architectural elements from Norman, Gothic, and Renaissance traditions, with square carved stones known as ashlars forming its exterior walls.
