Conant Hall, Graduate residence hall at Harvard University, United States.
Conant Hall is a four-story residence at Harvard University designed in Georgian style and home to graduate students. The building contains individual rooms equipped with extra-long beds, desks, and storage built into the walls.
The building was constructed in 1894 by the architectural firm Shepley, Rutan and Coolidge and initially housed undergraduate students. In 1905 it transitioned to serve graduate students instead.
During World War I, the building functioned as both a student residence and a post office annex for the United States Naval Radio School.
Each floor has a shared kitchen, and the first level has two common areas where residents can gather together. The location within the Harvard campus makes it convenient to reach classrooms and university facilities.
The roof features thirteen tall chimneys that once contained working fireplaces when the building first opened. Now they serve primarily as distinctive architectural elements of the Georgian facade.
