Huff–Lamberton House, Historical landmark mansion in Winona, United States.

Huff-Lamberton House is a three-story brick mansion on Huff Street displaying Italian Villa architecture with a striking Moorish Revival porch. The structure features extensive interior spaces with multiple bedrooms and common areas arranged throughout the substantial residence.

Henry Huff built this mansion in 1857 when most buildings in Winona were still constructed from wood. The house was among the first brick structures in the city during an era when such permanent construction was relatively uncommon.

The residence served as an orphanage starting in 1962, sheltering many children before transitioning to a senior living facility later on. These changes reflect how the building adapted to serve different community needs.

The mansion sits on Huff Street with multiple entry points that reflect its substantial size. Visitors should allow time to view both the exterior architecture and the different wings of the building to appreciate its full layout.

The Lamberton family lived in the house across three generations, adding modern improvements while keeping the original architectural features intact. This long family connection helped preserve the building's distinctive character even as it evolved over time.
