"Khan gizi" spring

The spring contains twelve water outlets and eight corner basins crafted from white marble, providing water from the Saribaba mountain through a seven-kilometer pipeline.

Khurshidbanu Natavan invested 100,000 gold manats to construct this water source in 1871, completing the project after eighteen months of work.

The spring bears the name of Khurshidbanu Natavan, the last Khan of Karabakh's daughter, who became a notable Azerbaijani poet in the nineteenth century.

The spring supplied drinking water to 30,000 residents of Shusha who previously relied on distant mountain sources or expensive water delivery services.

Following its restoration in 2020, the spring returned to public use after decades of neglect during the occupation period from 1992 onwards.
