Xingjiao Temple

Xingjiao Temple is a Buddhist sanctuary in Jianchuan County with several buildings and pagodas arranged on different sides of the complex. The site contains a main hall with a large bronze Buddha statue, a sermon building with a reclining Buddha figure, and a pavilion holding thousands of religious manuscripts from various Chinese periods.

The temple received its name in 669 when an imperial ruler inscribed characters on the stupa, acknowledging the importance of Buddhist teachings. This event marked a turning point in the place's significance for the Buddhist tradition.
