姜维城遗址

Jiang Wei City ruins are the remains of an ancient fortress with stone walls and military positions built on Yingpan Mountain, showing a network of defensive structures. The ruins spread across multiple levels of the mountain with stone walls and foundations still visible today.

General Jiang Wei of the Shu Han dynasty built this fortress during the Three Kingdoms period to defend against Wei kingdom attacks. It served as a major military base until the Shu Han fell and the site was eventually abandoned.

This place held strategic importance for the Shu Han kingdom and shows how military power was organized in the region. Walking through the ruins, you notice how the fortifications were built to work with the natural mountain slopes.

Access to the site is available but paths can be steep and rocky, so wear sturdy shoes and allow plenty of time to explore. Taking time to move slowly through the ruins helps you see all the structures and understand the layout.

The site reveals how Jiang Wei used advanced stone construction techniques that were unusual for his time and show sophisticated knowledge about mountain fortifications. These building methods are easy to miss unless you look closely at how the stones fit together and the walls are angled.
