Yingpanshan Site

Yingpanshan is an archaeological site in Sichuan containing the remains of ancient settlements spread across multiple excavation areas. Visitors can see pottery fragments, stone tools, and foundation structures that reveal how people lived in this region long ago.

The settlement developed during the Yangshao period when early communities began to establish permanent dwellings in this location. Excavations reveal layers of occupation spanning different phases of development in early Chinese civilization.

The site is best reached by heading to the nearby town first and then following marked pathways to the different excavation areas. Sturdy footwear is helpful since the digging sites are outdoors and can vary depending on the season and weather conditions.
