Happy Valley Chengdu, Amusement park in Jinniu District, Chengdu, China
Happy Valley Chengdu is an amusement park in Jinniu District featuring seven themed sections with more than 130 rides and attractions for families. The sprawling facility combines different experience zones with both modern roller coasters and classic rides designed to appeal to visitors of all ages.
The park opened on January 17, 2009, as the third Happy Valley location following successful launches in Shenzhen and Beijing. The expansion to Chengdu marked the chain's growth strategy during a period of rising interest in large-scale amusement facilities across China.
The Ba and Shu section displays architectural elements from ancient Chinese kingdoms, allowing visitors to see how traditional designs have been woven into the park's modern setting. The ornamental details and structures here reflect patterns that have survived through centuries of Chinese history.
The park connects directly to Xihua Avenue station on Metro Line 6, making it easy to reach from downtown areas. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes and plan for a full day, as the sprawling layout means there is considerable walking between different zones.
Dragon in Clouds is an inverted roller coaster by Vekoma that delivers intense drops and sharp turns at high speeds, standing out from other rides in the park. This coaster is especially popular with thrill-seekers and creates a memorable adrenaline rush.
