Donghuamen Site, Archaeological site in Qingyang District, China.
The Donghuamen archaeological site spans 49,000 square meters within the center of Chengdu, containing structural remains and artifacts from multiple historical periods.
Excavations since 2013 have revealed city structures dating from the Warring States Period through the Ming Dynasty, spanning over 2000 years of continuous settlement.
The site presents architectural elements from various Chinese dynasties, including Tang Dynasty courtyards and Ming Dynasty stepped pathways preserved in their original locations.
The outdoor historical relics park provides educational tours, detailed information panels, and direct access to excavated areas for visitors to examine ancient urban planning.
Archaeological findings at this location include an extensive network of Ming Dynasty canal systems that demonstrate advanced water management techniques of ancient Chengdu.
