Camoes Garden, Urban park in Santo Antonio, Macau.
The garden spans 20,000 square meters with stone paths winding through groves of banyan trees leading to a hilltop Chinese pavilion point.
This land belonged to a Portuguese merchant who raised pigeons until his death, after which the property was dedicated to poet Luis de Camoes.
Local residents gather daily in the garden to practice tai chi, play Chinese chess on stone tables, and hang bird cages in tree branches.
Visitors can access the garden daily from 6:00 to 22:00 via bus routes 17, 8A, 18A, 18B, 18, 19, or 26 at no entrance cost.
The bronze statue named Embrace stands at the garden entrance, marking the connection between Portuguese and Chinese heritage in Macau.
