Fire Services Museum

The Fire Services Museum is housed in the former headquarters building of the Brigade and presents the history of firefighting in the city. Inside are displays of equipment, vehicles, and documents that track how fire prevention and response methods developed over many years.

The building was constructed in 1920 in Neo-Classical style and served for many years as the main headquarters of the fire brigade. The museum opened in 1999, transforming this historical structure into a place to learn about firefighting in the city's past.

The collection displays historical fire engines and equipment that show how firefighting methods changed over time. Visitors can see the tools and techniques that shaped how the city responded to fires.

The museum is located in the Santo António area and is easy to reach on foot. Plan to spend at least an hour exploring the exhibits at your own pace, as the layout allows for a comfortable visit.
