The Heritage Exhibition of a Traditional Pawnshop Business features a three-story pawnshop building connected to a seven-story storage facility displaying historical artifacts.
The building opened in 1917 as Tak Seng On Pawnshop, operating until 1993, and reopened as a museum in 2003 after extensive restoration work.
The museum presents the economic practices of traditional pawnshops through original furniture, tools, and documentation from early 20th century Macau.
Located at 396 Avenida Almeida Ribeiro, the museum offers free admission from 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM and provides guided tours every Saturday afternoon.
The structure received recognition from UNESCO in 2004 for its preservation efforts and maintains its original architectural elements from the 1917 construction.
