The Fasanerie spans 25 hectares in northwest Wiesbaden, featuring native wildlife species, including bears, wolves, foxes, and numerous domestic animals in natural environments.
The park originated as a pheasant hunting ground for nobility, transforming over time into a public wildlife sanctuary and educational center for nature conservation.
The park earned certification as an Arche Park in 2023, participating in conservation programs for endangered domestic animal breeds like Poitou donkeys and Tauernschecken goats.
The park operates from 9:00 to 18:00 between April and October, and from 9:00 to 17:00 from November through March, with free admission for visitors.
The otter enclosure includes underwater viewing windows and wooden walkways, allowing visitors to observe these animals from multiple perspectives in their water habitat.
