Neckarstadt-West

Neckarstadt-West is a district in Mannheim situated along the northern bank of the Neckar River and characterized by residential areas. The area also includes the Altrheinhafen, an important industrial port with storage facilities and commercial establishments.

The district originated in 1679 when gardens were established and distributed to around 60 families who began settling the area. This early foundation as a garden district shaped its structure for generations to come.
