Puig Major, Mountain summit in Escorca, Spain.

The Puig Major reaches an elevation of 1436 meters, making it the highest point in the Balearic Islands within the Sierra de Tramuntana range.

The Spanish Air Force established a military radar station at the summit during the twentieth century, restricting general public access to the peak.

The mountain stands within the Sierra de Tramuntana region, which received UNESCO World Heritage status for its preserved cultural landscapes and settlements.

Visitors can observe the mountain from multiple viewing areas near the Cuber Reservoir, which offers several hiking paths of varying difficulty levels.
